It was well run and organised. Our guide Amanda was perfect .Nothing was too much trouble for her .She wasovely to be with .I have tried to email her to say thank you but have been unable to contact her .If you could forward her email I should be grateful.

Well done for the sights and sounds but not so for “optional” tours taking place during the days’s group activities, such as in Shanghai gong up to the viewing platform of the skyscraper , or the MagLev train. Those opting out were left to twiddle their thumbs pending the return of those opting in. Other gripes were about theatre shows where a minimum number had to agree to go or none at all.

The entire experience from pre booking to coming home was excellent. The pre-sales and pre trip office communication was excellent. The tour itself was amazing and our guide David Zhao was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble. The places on the itinerary were stunning and I felt I had enough time to experience them all. Looking forward to booking my next tour with Wendy Wu

Their China country guide (Chuck) was excellent and did his level best to ensure we had a trouble-free holiday. The only blot for us was that we flew in to Beijing (Air China) and had an approximately 5 hour layover before flying on to Shanghai - there were at least 3 flights leaving to Shanghai before ours, so why such a long wait?

Product :

I would actually rate this very good and the tours chosen were just what we wanted. The quality of the meals we had did vary a little, some excellent and some average and towards the end of the holiday they were becoming a little repetitive. The hotels were of good quality, very clean and comfortable. In fact every city we visited was immaculately clean - very impressive for such a large country and population.

I would recommend Wendy Woo Tours because our tour was excellent in every way. We could not fault the day to day organisation in China as everything went very smoothly. The guides are obviously experienced and well trained to ensure that every detail is planned well. We enjoyed every day and particularly were pleased with the meal time arrangements.

Organisation was excellent, everything was arranged for you. The National Guide, Christian, was fantastic and couldn’t have been more helpful. We just had to turn up and enjoy ourselves.

Wendy Wu were waiting at the airport when we arrived. Our International guide was very well informed and spoke very good English she looked after us like family. The tour was packed full of places to visit and was extremely good value for money. All our meals were included and the restaurants were of a good standard. Our hotels were also of a good standard. When we arrived at the hotel for our flight home another rep was waiting for us to guide us through check in. Would defiantly book another holiday with Wendy Wu and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Great tour and our National Guide Michelle was excellent, always willing to "go the extra mile", she was very knowledgeable and always cheerful.
The local guides were generally good but need to allow a bit more time to allow guests - who might not go back to China - to take photos and read notices without having to rush to catch up.

Tour was excellent, national guide Penny Li was wonderful. Some days seemed to have too much content for time available.
Hotels were good except one in Hong kong, The Eaton Hotel.Access to the lifts was from the loading bay/car park. Restaurant was good but had industrial ceiling, exposed ducting etc. Room was small, with 2 cases and 2 persons not much room.
Knowing in advance of late flight home late checkout should have been included, I had to pay 650 HK dollars .

Penny the national Guide was great...did an excellent job...some of the local guides could have been more informative and some of the hotels were not situated in the best places for touring the city and also some itinery could have been better timed, especially with the optional excursions

This trip was a lifelong dream for me, I took a long time thinking which company and which tour to take. I don't think I could have chosen better. Our tour guide Penny Li was friendly, knowledgeable, effective and very aware of everybody's needs and wants in her 'family'.
Naturally there was some minor personality clashes with in the group but Penny kept it all very smooth. Also naturally some of the cultural differences were sometime difficult to understand, but I was visiting their country and so must accept their ways (not everybody was of that thought!)
The highlights were the Li river cruise, it must be said we had perfect weather. The Great Wall and number one the Terra cotta army. WOW.
Thank you to Penny, all the City guides, bus drivers and everybody who made my dream come true.

The tour was exactly as sold and met all our aspirations. Our guide Nick was absolutely great and was completely organised and ensured everything was sorted for us and always checked that things were ok especially every hotel we checked into. All arrangements went to plan removing any worries as we could totally rely on everything just happening. Our local guides that joined us in different cities were all very friendly and highly proficient in their roles. Overall a great holiday and would definitely recommend Wendy Wu and would use again.
